Terms of Service – Renzo Gracie Team
Last updated: August 13, 2025 Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Terms of Service”) carefully before using the Renzo Gracie Team website and services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Renzo Gracie Upper West Side LLC (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to register for classes or services without parental consent. Minors may participate with a parent or legal guardian’s approval.
2. Accounts & Registration
When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of these Terms, which may result in the immediate termination of your account.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activities under your account.
3. Memberships, Payments & Renewals
Membership fees and class packages must be paid in full according to the pricing and billing cycle agreed upon at the time of purchase.
All payments are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
Automatic renewals may occur for ongoing memberships unless canceled before the renewal date.
4. Cancellations & Refund Policy
Membership cancellations must be requested in writing or through our official cancellation process.
No refunds are provided for unused classes or partial membership periods unless otherwise stated in writing.
Special promotions may have additional cancellation restrictions.
5. Class Reservations & Attendance
We recommend booking classes in advance to secure your spot. If you cannot attend, please cancel within the timeframe specified in our booking policy. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a fee or loss of class credit.
6. Code of Conduct
All members, guests, and visitors must conduct themselves respectfully toward staff, instructors, and other members. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate memberships for inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive behavior.
7. Health & Safety
Martial arts and fitness activities involve physical exertion and risk of injury.
By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to release the Company from liability for injuries, except where prohibited by law.
Please inform instructors of any injuries or medical conditions prior to participation.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and materials provided by the Service are the property of Renzo Gracie Upper West Side LLC or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute them without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, resulting from your use of the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including a breach of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or change these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
